Meet Mike Wong
It’s safe to say that Mike has been doing this for quite some time. In fact, he’s been in the financial services industry for over 45 years!

As a member of the NZFSG (New Zealand Financial Services Group) Mike is well connected with others in this industry and holds a Level 5 New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services.
Mike started his career working in finance in Fiji, and continued on this path after immigrating to New Zealand in the 1980’s. After many years working for a leading financial institution, Mike started his own business as an independent financial advisor in 2004. He saw the potential to change how people connect with their financial advisors and receive more personalised service.Having come from humble beginnings, Mike is big on giving back and supporting young people. His Fijian roots are important to him and he’s very involved in the New Zealand Fijian community, supporting local sports teams, cultural celebrations and providing support to people here and in Fiji. He’s also a regular at the popular Dragons Restaurant in Wellington.
Family is important to Mike and he is proud to work alongside his daughter Kirsten.

Kirsten is the friendly face that greets you when you arrive at our office and is our client liaison.

With her warm, approachable nature and a passion for helping people, Kirsten is
here to support you throughout your financial journey. Just like Mike, she’s a people
person who genuinely enjoys connecting with clients and making the process of
sorting your finances feel less stressful and a lot more enjoyable.
Kirsten especially loves working with first-home buyers and investors who are just
starting out in the world of property and finance, guiding them step by step with care and clarity.
Now that she’s fully qualified, Kirsten’s not just behind the scenes—she’s with you every step of the way and beyond, offering ongoing support and building lasting relationships with her clients. Whether you’re arranging a loan or sorting out insurance, she’ll manage all the paperwork, make sure everything’s on track, and answer your questions without the jargon.
People often have a favourite saying and Kirsten’s is this “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams” - this is a philosophy that she applies to her work and life every day.
